Since first opening it's doors on Saturday 26th August 1978, Rouse Opticians has grown into one of Hull's largest and most trusted Independent Opticians

 

The practice was started by husband and wife team Geoff and Ann Rouse. Since then we have steadily grown, opening two more branches, one at the Northpoint Shopping Centre, Bransholme, Hull and the other at 428 Hessle Road, Hull.  As our patient base grew we took on more professional staff who eventually became partners in the business, ensuring continuity of care for our patients  

 

Our first professional partner was Geoff's brother Ian (Dispensing Optician) in 1986, followed by Liam Castle (Optometrist) and Paul Newlove (Dispensing Optician) in 1993. We welcomed our son Christopher (Optometrist) into the business in 2012 and our latest partner Paula Howley (Dispensing Optician) in 2016. Ian retired early in 2016 to commit himself to his first love of horticulture. The practice is very family oriented with both Liam's wife Joanne and Paul's wife Julie playing active roles in the business as administrator and technician respectively.

Offering a range of quality services including eye examinations, dispensing spectacles, fitting and checking of contact lenses, eye health checks and more. We examine people of all ages, from toddlers to the elderly. All of our Optometrists and Dispening Opticians are registered with our professional regulatory body, the General Optical Council (GOC).

All of our Optometrists are members of the College of Optometrists and the Association of Optometrists (AOP).

All of our Dispensing Opticians are members of the Association of British Dispensing Opticians (ABDO).
